I tried to get up early today to have some time to myself, but my plans were foiled before my feet even hit the floor. Mikayla had wet her bed and was crying and wanting to take a bath. Can't blame the poor little one as she was wet up to her eyeballs! After she got cleaned up we took the morning pretty slow. I did my workout again! Yay! Go me! And then we ate lunch and got ready for school. Jonathon had a good day from what I can gather and he brought home a smiley face on his folder! I'm so proud of my little man! Tonight was a bit of a challenge everyone was tired and grumpy. About 530 we all took a short and well needed nap. Though when we got up it proved to have a not so good of an outcome. Mikayla was fussy and all she could do was cry and Jonathon was also upset. About the time we were finished with dinner the doorbell rang and it was our neighbor George, asking if we would like to go for a walk. I asked if he could wait while I got everyone ready and we went. I also took my 2 big pullers! Gypsy and Bruce. The walk went very smoothly till there was a dog that was loose and Bruce wanted to eat it! Seriously he was not acting like a gentleman at all! He would lunge snap and growl! And the other dog was being very friendly! Well at least he was trying to be! My hands are torn apart from the leashes! Last time those 2 will go for a walk! Is all I have to say! When we got home the kids and I watched a few cartoons and ate a snack before it was time to send them off to bed. Now it's peaceful and quiet in the house. But I'm sure it won't last for long! :) Good night everyone! Talk to you again tomorrow!

Just Wednesday

Today was a rather boring day in the Sisson Household. We got up a little later than usual. I was gonna walked the dogs down to drop J off at school again today, but I got sidetracked talking with my friend Dawn on Facebook instead. After school we headed off to church which was so refreshing for me since it's an hour of free child care! HAHAHA! Now that we are home Jonathon is playing on his computer for a few and Mikayla is watching a few cartoons then it will be off to bed! Hopefully tomorrow might have some excitement to really blog about! ;) Have a great night!

Movin and a Groovin Tuesday

My little alarm clocks got up this morning at 8am on the nose. I struggled for the next 2 hours to wake up but finally made it after a cup of coffee. After my workout the kids and I ate some lunch and then we all got ready to walk Jonathon to school. It was a beautiful day to walk! Nice and sunny with a nice breeze blowing and only around 70 degrees! So, on such a beautiful day how could I leave the dogs behind! Yep we took the dogs along! I gave the kids the extend-able leashes while I had the 5ft leashes. It prevented the dogs from being able to jerk the kids at all. (Jerking me is a different story!) But we made it down to the school and Jonathon had fun showing off his 2 big dogs. :) When we went to pick Jonathon up we drove the car since Jonathon really doesn't like walking home from school. And today he wore a pair of sandals that actually gave him some blisters! So added bonus, I didn't have to carry him home! Around 5pm a wall of exhaustion hit me like a ton of bricks and I had to take a quick 30 minute power nap on the couch. I'm so blessed to have 2 fairly well behaved children! They didn't trash the house or try to set it on fire! They quietly played games on the computer and watched cartoons! Now it's about time for bed for little ones and, as sad as it is to admit, I think I will be joining them tonight! I'm just exhausted. Maybe a good night of sleep will get me back on track for a long day tomorrow. Good night my friends and family! Talk to you again tomorrow! ;)

Long Monday

It's been non stop since 7am! First was Mom's group at church which went really well. Then it was time for Jonathon to go to school. After I dropped him off Mikayla and I had a few moments at home where I got to clean out my car and talk to Todd. Then it was off to pick Jonathon up from school. It was such a beautiful afternoon that I walked down to pick him up. Neither of the kids really appreciated my sentiments but they lived! After school I had to get the kids ready to go over to Kim's house while I went to a Lady's night. They had a pretty good time but attitudes were not at their best cause everyone involved was tired from a long day. I picked the kids up at 10 and we made it home safe and sound. The kids each got a snack and then were sent straight off to bed. And that my friends is where I am headed.

Sleepy Sunday

This morning went extremely well! I took last night and prepared everything I could. I pre made sippy cups, I laid out clothes for everyone, and packed my purse with diapers! I got up at 730 and took the morning nice and slow. Woke the kids up at 8 and we were out the door a little before 830. (I was very proud!) We stopped at the Donut shop on the way to church. I told Jonathon while daddy was gone that would be our special thing to do. We got to church safe and sound. Mikayla didn't want to go to her room at all but she got over it pretty quick. Jonathon couldn't wait to get to his room! He told me he could get to his room all by himself and he sure did! He got to his room while I got Mikayla signed in hers then I went to check on him. He was in his classroom waiting patiently for his teacher playing in the little kitchen! I was so proud of my little man! What a big boy he's grown to be! After church we came home and ate some lunch. Then after a short conversation with Todd on the computer I made the executive decision that we all needed a nap! Well that was at 2pm and we all got up at 5! Mikayla and I both slept for about 2hrs and Jonathon only slept at the most for an hour. I know cause he came in and woke me up at 4 asking if he could get out of his room. hahaha! At least he listened when I told him no. We all ate some dinner on the couch and watched Dragon Heart. Now it's 9pm and I have some homework to get done before I head off to mom's group in the morning. I also have to prep the food I have to take with me. I better get busy if I want to get any sleep tonight!

Our Day at Home

The day started off a bit rocky with scratchy throats and seal bark coughs, but it smoothed out fairly quickly and was a nice quiet day at home. :) I got a few rows of knitting done while the kids played Candy Land. Guess who won every game? I think there might have been some fowl play though, she ran away with all the cards! But they had a good time! Jonathon was just happy he beat me! hahaha! After that the kids were sent to their rooms for some quiet time while Mommy had some sanity time! I watched a couple of shows that had live people in them! And enjoyed not having to get up every 5 seconds to get juice or snacks! Unfortunately I had to let them out of their rooms and the madness started right back up. Jonathon wanted to play on his computer and I was looking for a friendly face so I called my parents on Skype! The kids always love talking with their Nana and Big Guy! And boy were they acting silly! When we finally let my parents get back to their nice quiet lives I did my workout, while the kids followed along. After such a hard workout it was time for dinner and a movie. I sent Jonathon to take a shower while Mikayla watched Curious George and I finished cleaning the dishes and making their dinner. They ate spaghetti with Parmesan cheese while they watched Chicken Little. By the end of the movie they could barely keep still, but it was bed time, so off they went! hahaha! Now here it is only 9pm and I'm thinking it's time for bed myself. Sweet Dreams to all! :)

A day with friends!

Yesterday was a great day here in OKC! My good friend Kim came over with her 3 young ones and played all afternoon. And when it was time for them to go, the kids and I decided we'd go with them! Hahaha! We went over to their house and stayed till 10pm! We had a great time jumping on the trampoline, drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing with the dogs. I had a great time talking with Kim all day and catching up on the things going on in her life. When we got home the kids went right to bed! (That makes for a very happy mommy!) Jonathon woke up around 1am though extremely upset. He had a bad cough and I seriously thought he was going to puke! But he finally calmed down and came in to my room and slept in bed with me. A few hours later Mikayla woke up with the same nasty cough. :( I love the fall and that it is getting cooler but I hate how it plays with your sinuses and allergies. This morning they both have scratchy little voices and a cough like a seal bark! But I think they are starting to feel better as the day goes on. They are coughing less and their little voices are sounding a bit better. I think after a day of rest and being calm that we might be back to normal. :)

Flying Solo

Yesterday I dropped Todd off for deployment. After we left Todd the kids and I went out to lunch at Chik-fil-a. Jonathon ate his but Mikayla had no interest. After lunch it was about time for Jonathon to go to school. He only goes a half day but he truly enjoys it. Mikayla and I picked him up at 3:40 and then started our 25 mile journey out to church. On the way both my little ones took a well needed nap, and since we get up there so early I was able to let them sleep for a bit in the car. After naps it was time to go in to church and grab some dinner. Though I was the only one to eat! They both had a good time at church. Mikayla has been potty training for the past few weeks and is really catching on now! She came home in the same pull up she got there in! YAY! After we got home the kids were still pretty wired and hungry since they didn't eat dinner at church. So we all had a little snack and watched a few cartoons. Mikayla even went and got her left over chik-fil-a and finished it! HAHAHA! At least it didn't go to waste! By 9:30 we were all in bed.
I'm going to try and keep things updated on here so that if for some reason he can't get a hold of me he can come here and find out what all is going on. Seems seems simple enough. :)
