This morning Jonathon came in right at 8am on the nose and said "Mommy,I need to watch my Mickey Mouse movie!" (A few nights ago he got The 3 Musketeers with Mickey Donald and Goofy and he absolutely loves it!) So blurry eyed and groggy I got up and came in the living room. I usually start my computer up before I get to starting a movie or what not for him. As he was following me in to the Living room he saw his Ghost Trap still laying on the floor. "Mommy look!" He said to me, "The Ghost came and ate all the food!" I gave a little chuckle and said "It sure looks like it did!" As he examined his trap more closely he picked up the big orange truck and found cheerios in it. "Mommy, the Ghost put the cheerios in my truck! He didn't eat them! He played with his food!" By this time I'm doubled over laughing! And he starts laughing too! When I could finally breathe again I asked him to pick up his trap so that I could workout. After he picked everything up I got his movie on for him and got him his favorite breakfast, Pop-tarts!
Mikayla woke up around 9:30 and we started getting ready to go meet Todd to get the taxes done. While in the process of getting ready Todd is calling me about every 2 minutes asking me a different question. "I need this # from this", and "I need this code from this." AHHHHH!!!!!! Finally we got out the door, met up with Todd, got the taxes done and ate some lunch. The kids and I came home after lunch and I did my workout, then started to get the house picked up. Not long after we got home Todd came home and told me to go get cleaned up so I could go on my date. Yes folks I had a date this afternoon. And NO it was not with my husband! I called my date and told him I was on my way over. I walked across the street and went to Panera Bread with my 72yr old neighbor! George and I had a marvelous time talking over coffee and getting a break. His wife has been in the hospital for a month now with a broken hip and he's been lonely. I love my dates with my neighbor he is a perfect gentleman and treats me like royalty! It's amazing how great it feels to get a dose of some good old fashion chivalry! LOL! After we finished our coffee we went to visit his wife and then he brought me home. After being at home with the kids all day every day I've learned just how important my little breaks can be. When I come through the door I am greeted by both of my children screaming "MOMMY MOMMY!!!!" Big hugs and kisses all around. It's the best feeling in the world and for a while they listen better and respond when I say something. And as for my hubby, don't feel sad for him. For while I was out, he had a great night with the kids! They romped on the floor and watched a movie together! It was a happy day all around. :)
