Run Around Saturday

My day started at 230am this morning. Mikayla woke up fussing a little and came in to my room and said in the sweetest little voice, "Mommy boo boo, hurt." And was pointing to her right ear. I went to the medicine cabinet and got out the ear drops and got a warm wash cloth. And 2hrs later we were able to go back to bed. I woke up right at 8 am without an alarm and called the doctors office. They are only open till noon on Saturdays and appointments fill up very quickly. We got in at 10 and at 11 we were out the door with our new prescription for Mikayla's ear infection. So now both my little one's are on antibiotics to be taken twice daily for the next 10 days! Lord, give me strength! :) After that my friend Kim came over and I taught her the first steps in knitting. We had a very nice afternoon together knitting. After she left I took the kids to get Mikayla's medicine and then also stopped for gas and McDonald's for the kids. When we got home it was such a beautiful evening and I had really wanted to go for a walk with the dogs. But after being pulled across the street and having my hands torn to shreds I wasn't in the mood to endure that again. But I wanted to know if there was any product out on the market that might be better at helping with Bruce's pulling other than the harness. And would you know it there is! It's called a Halti! It's made like a horse halter and controls them by turning their head! It's amazing! And when I found out I could get it at the local Petsmart for the low price of only 12 bucks! I packed the kids and Bruce in the car and off we raced! We got there and they let me try the product on Bruce in the store. And I'm glad they did cause the first one we tried on was too big and he slipped right out of it. The second was the perfect fit! So we bought it and came home. Being eager to truly give it a good test I got Gypsy on a leash and off on a walk we went! Bruce walked right beside me! Not ahead of me not pulling me over but right beside me! Gypsy who only pulls when there is something of interest was given the harness Bruce had, and she did very well with it. I actually walked my dogs around the block and didn't have to fight with them! It was actually an enjoyable experience which is the first time I have ever been able to say that! I can't wait to walk Jonathon to school next! We'll be able to take the dogs and I know that we won't have any problems! So after or walk I promised the kids they could watch a movie and the chose Lady and the Tramp! They made it to the last 15 minutes then they started fighting so I sent them to bed! And they went right out! And now that my story is finished so am I! hahaha! Good night Everyone! Till tomorrow!
